UNTRUTHS TOLD IN CAMPAIGN MR SULLIVAN'S CLAIM "Do you know what tliey are saying about me down the Coast," said Mr Sullivan, National candidate at Whakatane on Tuesday. "They are saying that after the last election I 'sacked' every employee of my firm who voted Labour," he added with a smile. "I have never asked an employee for a vote or endeavoured to influence J.hem," he continued. "And at the time of that campaign the late Member's brother was in our employ, remained until he enlisted — and there's a job for him there when he returns!"
Biairnado's Home Boxes The Awakeri Branch of Barmulos Home Health League has opened itsboxes for the annual collection* Mrs L. W. Luxton is the president of the League and Miss Trafford the secretary, and the opening Avas done when children Avere given a party at the school. This proved a very happy event and the result of the collection £19 13s excellent, being more than double that of last year. The children of the small community Avere congratulated on their splendid effort.
