HOUSE ABLAZE

FIRE IN KING STREET considerable damage; done Fire partially destroyed l the five; roomed dwelling in. King Street occupied by Mr G. M. Oswald yesterday afternoon, the Brigade being able to save the rooms at the rear of the building. The alarm sounded at about 2.40 p.m. and the Brigade was quickly in action to find the flames through the roof and having made a rapid advance. Two leads M-ere employed and the outbreak soon under control. Front rooms were gutted and rear rooms damaged by smoke and water. It is believed that the outbreak originated in a radio set.
