CONCERN REGARDING TANEATUA STRUCTURE At last week's meeting of the Whakatane County Council, Gr A. F. McGouigan stated thiait it had been reported! to hi'm that the traffic bridge on the Wha-katane-Taneatua State Highway was in a dangerous state. He added that he dlid not know whether or not this was correct, but if it Avas so then the position was serious. He pointed out that the structure wast now having to bear more heavy traffic as well lad'en lorries carried large quantities of milk to the cheese factory by that route. The acting-County engineer is to inspect the bridge.
