"It is to. be- hoped that along with the standardisation of overseas purchasing specifications the Standards Institute will take up the question of the standardisation of purchasing specifications for New Zealand Government departments," states the annual report of the New Zealand Manufacturers' Federation. "There are still ma 113- anomalies existing in this direction, and it is surelj 7 ridiculous to have a Government institution such as the Standards Institute standardising nearly everything except the purchasing specifications, of other Government departments."
