A meeting of the Waimana Young Farmers' Club Avas held in the hall on Wednesday, No\ r ember 19. A letter regarding a Y.F.C. Roll of Honour which is to be compiled antl published in the N.Z. Journal of Agriculture, Avas read* The secretary mentioned there Avere 17 members serving overseas. He Avas instructed to forward the names to the Dominion Organising Secretary. A A r cry interesting letter from n member serving overseas Avas then read. In this letter the writer described Greece and Crete. Arrangements Avere then made for a dance, the proceeds to be used to strengthen the club so that it Avould be in a position toi give the members its fullest support when they returned. The 1 night of the dance Avas arranged for Monday, December 1. It Avas decided to run a free bus from Whakatane. Mr Freeman, the Dominion Organising Secretary, addressed the meeting. He expressed pleasure at the Avay the club Avas carrying on and urged that endeavour be made to> "keep it going. He said he thought that one of the thingsi the members overseas Avere fighting for Avas Young Farmers' Clubs and so in fairness toi them the club should do all they could to help them noAV ami to re-establish them when they returned. Mr Freeman and Mr Murray (District Secretary) showed an interesting and instructiA T e series of sound films. Supper brought the evening to a close.
