The event though on a much modified scale than last year's splendid success will it is hoped hold the fort and provide the townspeople with a little gaiety and fun, in spite of the 'black-out' and benzine restrictions. The greatest drawback has been the appointment of a suitable organiser, but this difficulty appears to have been largely overcome and there is every prospect of a children's afternoon session and some organised fun-in-the-street in the evening with the assistance of the Pipe and Boys' Bands and groups of entertainers.
