CLUB EXPANSION
(N.Z.E.F. Official News Service) CAIRO, October 25. A "common room" has now been established at the New ZealanQ Forces Club in Cairo. As its namt implies, this room, which will soon be ready l'or use, is a place whert all ranks can foregather. Thus friends within the Expeditionary Force no matter what difference there ma 3 be in ranlc, will be able to meet and chat over a cup of tea in an informal manner and in pleasant surroundings. Occupying the space originally taken by a flat of three large rooms, the "common room" has been tastefully furnished with modern low tables and straight cane chairs. The prevailing colour is an attractive pink shade which tones effectively with the deep red of the hanging curtains. This is only one instance of how the club has been extending its premises in recent months to cope Avith the ever-growing patronage. Apart from the dining room and lounge which were the original rooms' of the Fascist Club before Italy entered the war, the space taken up covers that originally comprising fort.> flats.
