The following have been selected to represent Wliakatane against Taneatua at Wliakatane on Saturday at 2 p.m. for the Shield'. — Shapley, Pearson, Marsh, Baxter (s); Smith, J. Bell, Chambers, Loane (s); Henderson, Rullard, Luxton, Littlejohn (s); Oswald, Boon, Burgess, Howat (s). Feathers: Bennett, O'Rourke, Darvill, Derecourt. These players are requested to bring a plate. All players unable to play please notify the selector, Mr S. McLeod, as soon as possible. The ordinary draw will take place on Saturday as usual for those players not selected.
