LOCAL GIRL GUIDES ACT

Clean white rags are urgentlyneeded for'the Navy. This need not imply that the bulwarks of Empire are falling short of ensigns or code flags; the rags will be utilised by the engine-room staff to replace the cotton-waste which is now almost unprocurable. The matter of collecting the rags in the Whakatane area is being undertaken by the local Girl Guide Troop, which will maker an official collection on Friday, November 21.
