AIRMAN FAREWELLED

PRESENTATION TO PILOTOFFICER MILLENER

At the Red Cross Society's dance held at the King Street Hall on Saturday night, Pilot Officer M. J. Millener was the guest of honour and was made the recipient of a presentation. During the enjoyable programme which had attracted many young people, the deputy Mayor, Mir S. S. Shapley, spoke briefly. On behalf of residents of the Borough and County he handed Pilot Officer Millener the Whakatane' w T allet, in doing so congratulated him on the rapid progress he had made in his training and wishing him every good fortune and success.

A presentation on behalf of the Borough Ladies' Farewell Committee was also made by Mrs W. Sullivan, who also extended best wishes to the officer.
