NEED FOR FUNDS

On Thursday, December 11, a fail is to be held at the local school, the object of which will be to obtain funds for the purchase of prizes and sports trophies. Any surplus over the amount required for those purposes is to be paid into the swimming bath fund-

Teachers and pupils are busily preparing for the fair at which there will be many stalls, including general produce, vegetables, sweets, books and magazines, jumble, cakes, technical department work, and an afternoon tearooms.

Amongst the variety of entertainments. offering will be a drill display by pupils of both primary and secondary departments.
