MEMORIAL SERVICE

PLANS NOW COMPLETE!*

PARADE IN THE DOMAIN

The details, of the Memorial Service to the late Lieut. A. G. Hultquist arc now completed. The proceedings will lake place in the Domain on Sunday next at 2 p.m. and Avill be conducted by the combined clergy. There will be an invitation extended to the general public, and a special invitation to local body members, the R.S.A., Home Guard, W.W.S.A., Territorials, Scouts. Guides and other organisations in the town and district. The Service will be conducted from the band rotunda, the various units parading into the reserve headed by the Pipe and Boys' Bands. The order observed will bee National Anthem, Hymn, Scripture Reading, Prayer, Hymn, Address, Hymn, Pipe Lament, Last Post and Benediction. In the event of rain alternative arrangements have been made to hold the service in the Winter Show Building, where the same programme will be observed. GOVERNMENT REPRESENTATIVE PRIME MINISTER MAY ATTEND Advice from Wellington last Monday evening indicated that the Prime Minister, Hon. Peter Fraser, would make an effort to be present. In the event however, of his inability to make the trip, a Government representative will certainly be appointed. Members of the various branches of the Labour Party in this district have expressed their desire to keep the proceedings as' simple and at the same time as dignified asi possible.
