At Monday's meeting of the Borough Council His Worsihip the Mayor reported! that in com,piaimy with the chairman of the Works Committee he had 1 conferred! with Dr Davies, Medical Officer of Health respecting the Council's proposed sewerage scheme, in particular in connection with the location of the outfall) works. The Doctor would be in Whakatane again on November 18 'for a few days when it was proposed thialt he 1 inspect the Borough in company with the sub-committee in furtherance 1 of the proposals.

Recently it was decided) by the Council that although it could not proceed with the scheme immediately it was desirable to have the proposals prepared, andl thusi full! enquiries are being made.
