SELECTION OF SITE DEFERRED
FIGURES OF RECLAMATION
At Monday's meeting of the Whakatane Borough Council, His Worship the Mayor stated, that owing to the ill health of the chairman of the Harbour Board, Mr J. W. Sumner, lie had not approached the- Board respecting the new rubbish dump site. ,The present site had been inspected and was in a sanitary condition.
The foreman-engineer (Mr W. S. Henderson) gave estimates that over the past five years the dumping of rubbish had resulted in the reclamation of J35.90 triple yards, and sincc •the date of negotiations with the H&dboxix} Board in respect to the site,
