CHANGE OF NAME
R.S.A. BODIES
The lead taken by the New Zealand returned soldiers' controlling body in changing its name is expected to be followed by affiliated associations, though in some cases the necessary procedure to make the change effective may take time.
Dominion headquarters will advise the associations of the recent decisions, and they in turn will act in accordance with the requirements of their constitutions. It is expected that this action will be taken no later than the annual meetings early next year.
The Wellington Returned Soldiers' Association becomes the Wellington Returned Services Association, and the idea is to have it recognised as such without delay, though the new name may not apply officially until consequential matters are settled bj a special 01* annual meeting.
