First Wool Despatched
The first of . the Ngatiawa Native Scheme clips has been despatched to the store, 30 bales being consigned. Officers of the Department at Whakatane state that they have so far had no difficulty in obtaining shearers and do not anticipate any such trouble, although it is understood there will be a shortage of skilled men in the Poverty Bay district. The flock on the Ngatiawa Scheme for shearing numbers 6000.
