WHAKATANE LADIES' TOURNEY

WEDNESDAY'S ENJOYABLE'

FIXTURE

An enjoyable one-day tournament took place on the Whakatane Club's links last Wednesdaj* when the Ladies' Club held an open lixture. Visitors i'rom the neighbouring clubs and local players, took part. Mrs Steele, the club captain, in presenting the trophies Avon thanked the visitors for their attendance and expressed the hope that the tournament had been enjoyed by all. Mrs Carter, of the Opotiki Club, responded. Mr li. Stubbs (men's secretary) assisted with the cards. Results were: —- Morning Medals: A, Mrs Farmer (Whakatane); 13, Miss McDowell (To Puke); C, Mrs Cockerell (Mokorua). Afternoon Bogeys: A, Miss Bishop; B, Mrs Hay ward.
