VISITORS ON LOCAL GREENS

SUCCESSFUL SEASON INDICATED

Visitors from Opotiki, Taneatua and Te Puke were present when (54 players and a number of spectators were at the local greens for the official opening of the Wliakatanc Club's season. Enjoyable games were played, the greens being in excellent order if rather heavy following the recent rains. Mr R. F. Smith, president, briefly addressed the players before declaring the greens officially open and calling on Mrs Smith to play the first bowl.! Wives of members dispensed afternoon tea Avhich was greatly appreciated by the men. Results of games played were as follows:—■
