Derating of Farm Lands.

Supporting a Kanpara remit at last Executive meeting of the Auckland Farmers' Union, "that the Union trj' to obtain pledges from the National Executive of the political parties, and also from all the central and district committees in every electorate in regard to the total derating of farm lands," Mr J. W. Jones said the Government should take, full financial responsibility for hospital work, leaving the administration as at present. Replying to an 'interjection that the Government might seek to administer if accepting financial responsibility, he said there -was little fear of that. Capital expenditure on hospitals was likely to grow, and they should press for rating relief.
