BETTER ILLUMINATED CROSSINGS BOROUGH'S PROBLEM
A communication from the Commissioner of Transport at Monday s meeting of the Borough Council made suggestions that pedestrian crossings should be better illuminated, so that the posts marking the crossings could be visible to. motorists from at least 100 feet distant. His Worship the Mayor pointed out that it was impossible to comply with both the regulation for reduced lighting and the Commissioner's suggestion and it was decided to take no action.
