WEEK-END MANOEUVRES
OFFICERS CAMP COMPLETED
Although the parade w T as much smaller than hoped for the local Home Guard last week-end received interesting instruction. The Infantry performed manoeuvres on country within the Mokorua Golf Club's links this being ideally situated for the programme arranged.
Defensive positions were consoli' dated by the company, one small section acting in attack to test the strength of the defence and the interesting work was enjoyed.
Camp at Ohope
The camp equipped at Ohope is now ready for use, and next weekend officers and N.C.O.'s are to undergo week-end training there. There will be no parade of the.lnfantry at the Domain.
Whooping Cough relieved safely, pleasantly, certainly, with Vescana 2/6 bottle at H. Dewar, Chemist, Whakatane.
