SOLDIERS APPRECIATE PARCELS
LETTER RECEIVED LOCALLY
There have been some fears, expressed locally in recent months regarding the transit, of soldiers parcels, it being felt as a result of reports received that many were not reaching the soldiers for which they Were intended. That the men are receiving the parcels and fully appreciating them is learned by Mrs J. Butler, of McLean's, Road, who i.as received a letter from a man overseas. Dri.ver A. V. Weston states that the contents of a parcel received from Mrs Butler were very useful nnd greatly appreciated and commends the ladies "back home" for doing a good job. "The day on which I received your parcel,'" he writes, "each of the boys in the unit received one. I didn't see anyone who was not pleased."
