PRISONERS OF WAR
WHAKATANE MEN LETTER FROM DOUG. MORPETH Private D. C. Morpeth of Whakatane writing to his parents from Greece under date May 16 sfates that he has for company F. Mead, G. Tippett, H. Mexted and K. McShane, alii of Whiakatane. They are all 100 per cent fit and although they are being treated quite well as prisoners of war will be pleased when it is all over. They are expecting their parcels from Egypt to be sent to them; in due course. Advice has been received 1 that Pte J. W. Sanders, of Thornton, previously reported missing in Greece, is officially reported! as a prisoner of war in Germany.
