GATHERING AT OTAKIRI OLD SOLDIERS NEVER DIE The Otakiri Returned Soldiers held their annual dance at the Otakiri Hall on Tuesday, September 2, which proved an outstanding success. The hall was crowded, and a most enjoyable evening was held. There we<re about 150 coupl r es present. and the supper was in the capable hands, of Mrs Cobden and her band of willing lady helpers, to which the special thanks of tihe Returned Soldiers are extended. The competitions were won as follows: Mr Bntler the. electric iron, Mr Staples the cake which was 1 donated by Mrs Cobden, and the box of artificial flowers 'by Miss Laura Forbes, these flowers were donated by Miss Dorothy Barton, the special thanks of the Returned Soldiers are extended to these ladies for their kind thought in making these donations.
