PATRIOTIC DANCE
KING STREET HALL FUNCTION 9 AIRMAN FAPvE;WELLE.D There was a good attendance once ■again at the Patriotic Committee's weekly dance in the King Street Hall last Saturday, when advantage was taken of the event to officially farewell Sergt Pilot J. A. Morgan. In this connection, Mr T. Atkinson, 'the M.C., made the presentation oji behalf of the District Farewell Comjnittee and Mirs Hayler on behalf of the organisers. Music was provided by Wardlaw's ■Melody of Waimana, a combination which received the greatest applause for its bright rendition of the musical score. The Monte Carlo dances created much Interest and were won by Mrs Corcoran and Mr B'. Corcoran, and Miss White and Mr Peevers respect tively. A-'lucky number' dance was won by Mr li. Noland. The growing popularity of these weekly •dances is amply demonstrated by the number of patrons who attend them. The dance on Saturday next promises to be every bit as enjoyable as its fore-runners.
