The old adage has it that "one man's meat is another man's poison" and this comes .to mind when It is learned that the Land and Survey Department is hoping for a Strong fresh in the Rangitaiki river. On the other hand the farming community would not welcome a heavy fall of rain. August was generous in i's rainfall and, with much urgent work requiring to be completed on farms, wet weather would delay the schedule.
