He has only one arm, but his handling of a wet ball Avas remarkable, and drew forth a great deal of praise. The Tauranga School Sports Association was responsible for the running of the tournament, and too much praise cannot be given them for the wajr it was managed. A thoroughly enjoyable time was had by all. Whakatane has now the privilege of staging the next tournament. Boynton Shield The Boy n ton Memorial Shield presented to the lunners-up of the Primary Football, Tournament, was won this year by Tauranga. The following is an extract from the Tournament Souvenir Programme; This Shield, which is to be held by the runners-up of the tournament, has been presented by Mr Boynton, Whakatane. It is to perpetuate the memory of the donor's son, who was chosen ns a Whakatane representative player in the first Tai Mitchell Shield tournament, but who unfortunately passed away on the day of the opening match. To Mr Boynton Ave extend our thanks and appreciation. May the matches for this trophy be productive of that standard of manliness and sporting fellowship so plainly manifest in his late son.
