The letter submitted prices for Ihc work as follows-: — Up to 30. miles 9/9 per hour Up to 40 miles 10/3 per hour Up to 50 miles 10/9 per hour Up to 60 miles 11/3 per hour Up to 70 miles 11/9 per hour Up to 80 miles 12/3 per hour .Up to 90 miles 12/9 per hour Up to 100 miles 13/3 per hour These prices are for trucks carrying three yards. Rate per yard : I/- 1 per cubic rard up to 1 mile and 7d per cubic Vard for each additional mile. These figures do not include loading charges or royalty, if any is payable, and they are quoted- approximately but should not be' any high- >\ The daily yardage will depend on the state of the road to be carted over and to the conditions or< the farmer's property. Loading charges if carriers are to include them in price for the work. River sliingle at ninepence (9d) per cubic yard loaded with Bulldozer . Rock quarrying and loading one shilling and threepence (1/3) per cubic yard and to be loaded with 6ulldozer. Royalty, if any, to be added to the foregoing charges, and the County Council to secure the necessary permission for rock to be taken from the Public Works Department's quarry on the Whakatane* Taneatua road near Messrs Paterson and Piatt's farm. All accounts to be paid for by the Dairy Company of the district concerned. It was stated that members of the Alliances would appreciate say two days notice of when they tire to start the work, owing to some of them having to set up a camp in the outlying areas. The oifer was accepted and it was decided that Waimana and Rangitaiki Dairy Companies be charged the usual bulldozer hire charge inch Companies to charge such to suppliers who purchase metal.
