INDOOR BOWLING
TOURNAMENT AT TANEATUA Indoor bowling is ever increase ing in its popularity 1 in this district and Friendly Societies frequently organise tournaments which; inspire a great deal of friendly rivalry. Oil Tuesday night the M.U.1.0.0.F. Lodge at Taneatua \vcre hosts when a tournament was held in whicli ten teams took part. The matches were all interesting and the standard of play high in all teams, those taking part being Whakatane 1.0. O. F. (two teams), Whakatane M.U.1.0.0.F. (two teams), Taneatua M.U.1.0.0.F. (two teams).. Taneatua Rebecca Lodge, Rangitailu Druids Lodge, Taneatua 1.0.0. F. and the Methodist Social Club (Whakatane). The winners of the tournament were the Whakatane 1.0.0. F. (A* team) which won seven games and lost only one. The members^ were Scragg, Hunter, CKRourKe and Teasdale (s). At the conclusion of a pleasant evening the skip of the winning team thanked the hosts for their hospitality on behalf of the visitors.
