Wliakatane is to be honoured by 11 visit by a number of Auckland residents on Friday and Saturday next and the visitors from the Queen City are anxious to meet every resident. They will be the guests of thf local Red Cross Society which «s getting a lot of bright ideas latelv. So it behoves all to> watch for a special lorry which is to enter the Strand during Friday with a pleasant surprise for Whakataneans.

The Red Cross Campaign is propressing without a lull and on Friday a special array of goods will he on sale at the shop, while on Saturday night the usual dance at the King Street Hall will be held with an Opotiki Orchestra supplying the music.
