Sir, —Having noted that the Bor-» ougli Council has an idea of making a parking area of land to be reclaimed from the swamp near the town I would like to point out that if progress after this war is: anything (ike that after the last conflict then the council would be wise to loo& well ahead. In my. opinion that large area should be reserved for ai» aerodrome. It would be handy to town and in my opinion every tow n of any size will be connected by air services before long. The Chamber of Commerce has been interested in an aerodrome for some time and this should be kept in view, as if llie suitable site is provided it will ' go a long way to encouraging ai? services to make Wliakatane a land-» ing piacc.
