SITE CHOSEN SURVEY MADE RECENTLY At Friday's meeting of the Whakatane* Harbour Board a letter was received from the Ats-" sistant Undter-secretary, Public Works Department stating that the site for the new post office at Whakatane would be at the junction of Commerce Street and the Strand where a half-acre of the Board's property woul'dl be annexed at the figure of £2700. It was also stated thai the surf vey of this land had been made.
