MAINTENANCE OF SPIRIT LETTER FROMi FOUNDER Lieut. G. Bridge, of Te Awamntu, Adjutant of "F" Squadron of the Legion of Frontiersmein, has rcccivtfd the following letter from Captain E. d'Esterrc who, with Major Tristram, was; the original founder and organiser of the Legion in New Zealand . "It is inevitable that changes will occur. No organisation can stanu still—all must cliangc with the changing times. Insofar as the Legion departs from the original conception and the inner of spiritual meaning of the Brotherhood of the Frontier it will fail to retain the allegiance of the men best qualified to \ve.?r its badge. Without that it becomes a body without a soul—meaningless."
