BRITAIN'S CHAMPION HUSTLER SPECIAL BONUS FROM MINISTRY OF SUPPLY Her name is Mrs Maria Robson. She is a widow of 47 with four daughters. She is only five feet tall. She gets things done so much ahead of schedule that the Ministry of Supply have just given her a special bonus —mark of appreciation from a grateful country. Her job—of all jobs of a woman —is building. For this woman with auburn hair and steel-grey eyes controls the 8000 workers of the firm of W. G. Robson, Ltd. Eleven yearsi ago Mr Robson died He was a builder, responsible for contracts averaging some £60,000 a year. Mrs Robson took over the management of the firm. In five years the lirm was handling contracts ten times that figure. How the figure has grown in the last two years—particularly since the outbreak of the war —it is not possible to say. But it has grown enough for Mrs Robson to earn for herself the title of Britain's Biggest Hustler. She gets things done, and done quickly. She builds factories ahead of schedule. Six years ago she gave this advice to young people. She said: "Be a worker. Know your job. Be firm. Stand up for yourself, and have with vour work speed and accuracy."
