INDOOR BOWLS
POPULAR INNOVATION TOURNAMENT HELD The first large indoor bowling tournament to be held proved very popular when the M.U.1.0.0.F. entertained fellow organisations recently and during the evening eight teams contested a tournament. The event proved" so popular that it was the unanimous wish of all participants that further contests be arranged at regular intervals. The eight teams taking part in the spirited tourney were Taneatua M.U.1.0.0.F. (two teams), E!dgecumba M.U. 1.0.0.F.. Whakatane i.0.0.F. (two teams), the Methodist Social Club, and two teams from the local M.U.1.0.0.F. After many interesting matches one of the 1.0.0. F. teams came out on top in the final the team being F. Brown, G. Head, F. Hunter and W. Rixon (s). At the conclusion of play, on bphalf of the xisitors Mr W. Rixon thanked the hosts for the enjoyable evening spent, expressing the wish I hat similar functions be continued.
