-MISSING MEN NOW REPORTED number of local men The following men previously reported as missing are now reported to be prisoners of war in Greece :— Mead, L/C Frank D., Taneatua Tippett, Gordon. C., Whakatane Collins, Herbert Maurice, T® Puke TFrew, Spr. Hugh E., Taneatua Garaway, Osborne D., Whaks*tane Hanwright, Wm. F., Whakatane Hardley, Ronald A., Te Puke McShane, Kenneth E. S., Whakatane Mexted, Harold l William, Whakatane -Morpeth, Douglas C,. Whakatane Daniell, Wilstone Frederick. Opotik* Mr W. S. Woods, of Whakatane, has received notification that his> brother Horace Woods has been posted missing from ' Crete. He enlisted at Gisborne and left with the first echelon. The missing s6ldier when in Whakatane was recognised as the district's best amateur boxer
