UNLEASHED DOGS
OWNERS FINED IN COURT BY-LAW TO BE ENFORCED The Borough Council by-law which does not permit owners of dogs to allow their animals to wander in the Strand unleashed has; been observed more: by Ihe breach than the observance in the past, but the nuisance having increased the Borough Inspector has beep busy issuing warnings and at yesterday's sitting of the Magistrate's Court two prosecutions resulted. Miss; Patricia Walgih was fined with costs £1 10s Gel, the Inspector stating that he had warned her previously to keep the dog on a lead. The defendant appeared and pleaded guilty stating that the inspector had said he would "wink his eye" at her having her dog unleashed. "That is a nice thing for you to say about the inspector," said the Magistrate when imposing the fine. A similar fine was imposlekl 1 on Rosa Meiy Cattanaeh.
