RUGBY FOOTBALL
HURUNUI-APANUI SHIELD Club fixtures in the Wh'akatane Rugby Union's competition will not be played to-morrow as the reprefsentative side travels to Opotiki to play for the Hurunui-Apanui Shield. There have been no changes in the local side which will take the field as follows:— Fullback: Wardlaw. Three-quarters: Sellars, Thompson (Capt), McGarvey. Five-eighths: Old, Boynton. Half-back: Blackie. Front row: Angus, Merifco, Hayward. Second row: Hughes, A. Dunstan, Walker, Moore.. Last man down: Brown.. Reserves: Dunstan, Matthews; Mitchell, Windle. The team will leave Taneatua at 11 a.m. Mr W. Henderson, president of tho Union, is to act as team manager.
