OBITUARY
MR E. FLOWERS The death occurred at Whakatane on Friday last of Mr Edwin Flowers at the agei of 64 years. Born at Brighton, England, at the age of three years he came to Riverton. spending his boyhood days and receiving his education there. The lato Mr Flowers spent some years at Helensville and Morrinsville before settling at Rotorua where he established himself in business. While in that centre he took a very keen interest in the bands of thei town. Twenty-five years ago he came to Whakatane and took over a hairdressing business, and during his yearsi in this 1 town earned many friends and maintained his popular-" ity with a wide circle until his death. He took a keen interest in the Whakatane Band. The late Mr Flowers leaves a widow and two children, Mr Wm. Flowers, of Te Puke, and Miss May Flowers ,of Whakatane. The funeral service at Whakatane was conducted by the Rev. Caul ton.
