A SCOTTISH NIGHT
INGLESIDE AT KING STREET HALL LARGELY ATTENDED* The Whakatane Caledonian .Society's Inglesidei for this month took placc in the King Street Hall on Friday night, there 1 being a large ■attendance present. The programme was again a bright and entertaining one, dancing and iteii>Nv\vere highly appreciated. During the evening items were rendered as; follows : Highland Fling (Phyllis Rivett and Nora Watson), "Skipping Dance (Valerie Hannah and Nellie Rivett), Irish Jig, (Shir-' ley l Gomiskey), Piping of a slow march (Piper Wallace Walton). The Pipe Band played for several of tlvi dances in its usual excellent style while\ the music of Mrs Armstrong':; orchestra was also of a high standard. Mr Stan West acted as M.C 1 .- while the supper was expeditiously dispensed under the supervision of Mrs F. Berry.
