RUATOKI BRIDGE
SERIOUS DEFECTS NOTED DISTRICT ENGINEER'S VISIT AWAITED At this week's meeting the Counts Council stated that at no time naO it agreed to accept responsibility for the Ruatoki bridges or roads and it was decided to advise tin District Engineer of the Public Works Department tc this effect. It was also decided that the engi neer be advised that a recent in spection of the Ruatoki bridge dis closed serious dafects and that th* council was still awaiting the oppor tunity of inspecting the roads and bridges w T ith him.
