SERVICE CAR ROUTE
ROUTE VIA EDGECUMBE DECISION OF DEPARTMENT At yesterday's meeting of the Wliakatane County Council the General Manager, N.Z.R. wrotei referring to the Council's letter of 28th March in connection with the route followed by the Department's Roto-rua-Opotiki Road Service. Reconsideration had been given the matter and in view of the position as personally explained by members of the council it had been decided that as from June 8 all services with the exception of G. 30 a.m c<x Qipotiki. and the 4.30 p.m. ex Rotorua, would run via Edgecumbe. Should, however, prior advice be received that passengers to or from Edgecumbe aro offering for the last •Mentioned services these also would proceed via that centre. The General Manager is to be thanked for his action.
