PROBABLE CONVERSATION OPINION OF A SOLDIER A soldier in Egypt, who was in Hie Grecian evacuation, submits the following sample of a probable conversation in the future:—Daughter: What did you do m the war, Daddy? Daddq: Retired 160 miles in one day, my dear, and that takes some beating. Daughter: Did you get a mo.lal Tor that, Daddy? Daddy: Go on with your home work now, my dear, it's getting late.^ (And by Avay of apology for the foregoing, the Avritcr adds: "The desert's got me!")
