AWAKERI MEETING Friday, June 20 Mrs Luke presided over a good attendance at the Awakeri Hall. Mrs Barr one of oui foundation members who for several years has been residing in Auckland was welcomed back to our membership. The W.D.F.U. stall effort at the recent show was a financial success, and thanks are due toi all members who supported it. Correspondence was dealt with, after which on behalf of members, Mrs Luke asked Mrs Fowell and Mrs Smith avlio arc leaving A'wakeri, to acccpt a srmall gift accompanied! by best wishes I'ov their happiness 1 in their new locality. Competitions: Best Flower, Mrs Bowers (Poppy) 1, Mrs A. Martin 2, Mrs T. Kerr 3. Pair of Darned Sox, Mrs Bowers 1, Mrs A. Martin 2, Mn N. Macdonald 3.
