DAIRY CLEARANCE SALES
JUDGING from the successful clearance and displenishmg sales already held throughout the province this year, it would appear that dairy farmers at least are endeavouring to keep the home fires burning by maintaining quality and production in the Dominion's .most important primary industry. Reports from Taranaki indicate prices for pedigree stock whicih are to be regarded as imminently satisfactory. In spite of the times the dairy farmers of this country are apparently determined to 'carry on,' and by putting their ready cash back into their herds are ensuring that quality will be maintained in the dairy industry of New Zealand, which it ,is expected will play a big part in replenishing the exhausted, stock of war-ridden Europe upon the re-establish-ment of peace.
