SHOW OPENING TO-DAY,

A REMINDER to the general public is given that the official opening of the Bay of Plenty Winter Show takes place today at 2 p.m., when the Minister of Agriculture (Hon. J. G. Barclay) will] addresfs those present at the Show Building. The Minister will speak on the utility point of Shows, ai|d the value of their continuation during the present trying period. He will be supported by the Asociation President, Mr A. J. Canning, who will give a district re-* view, and trace the growth of the exhibition from its modest start. All those who can possibly be there should make a point of doing so, in qourtesy to the Minister, in loyalty to the Show, and in the interests of the town for which it stands.
