YOUNG FARMERS' CLUB
EDGECUMBE BRANCH MONTHLY MEETING HELD' ; Tlie monthly meeting was held -recently of the Edgecumbe Youn£ Farmers' Club when there was a fair attendance. After the usual business was attended to, discussion centred on the Y.F.O. Court to i**v entered at the forthcoming Winter Show at Whakatane. A committee wasi appointed in charge of Mr G. Gran g, who also was nominated to attend the Coun-. cil meeting at Hamilton, with Mr W. A. McCracken, Advisory President . It announced that a Y.F.C. scliolarship was being offered t» the Edgefcumbe Club, when Mr F. Reynolds was nominated to conduct n short course of sheep farming, dairying or farm management, Ruaknra, during June. The chairman also spoke on th* possibilities of seeding gift parcels to those members of the club are serving with the Forces. Supper brought the evening to » close.
