Local men recently called in the ballot for the Overseas Forces were medically examined at Wliakatane on Saturday and the following were passed as fit for service overseas ;— Tame Tcnjgahuru, Stewart Black. James Nuku, Tahae Rua, Phillip Ashley Anson, Herbert Sydney Grant, Lisle Rive Pifckles, Austin Nelson Priestley, Royston Edmund Gurney, Hammond Rota, Pango Whetu, John Carrol Hikitene, Joseph Basil Farrelly, James Harper Jamieson, Charles Henry Swan, Joseph Alexander Kennedy, Gordon Caldwell Bullock, Stanley William Grace.
