Together with other local bodies the Wliakatane Borough Council intends granted members of its stall" serving overseas their holiday pay. A suggestion had been that the leave due be accrued while the men were away. "It might be better to send the holiday pay to the men instead of allowing it to accrue—the chaps over there could do with a few 'bob'," commented the Mayor. Stench From Rotting Turnips.
