PROVINCIAL MEETING

The third annual mee.ting of the Bay of Plenty Provincial of the Women's Division of the Farmers' Union, was held in the Awakeri Hall on May 8, Mrs Haul tain presiding. Mrs Haultain welcomed delegates and visitors t'rom the, branches. The report and balance sheet was read and adopted, and the election of officers as follows.:— Mrs Haultain (president, re-elected); Mrs Grey (treasurer and secretary re-elected): Mrs Maunder (housekeeping secretary, re-elected); committee: Mrs Fox, Mrs Grace and Mrs Luxton.A competition for prizes presented by Mrs Haultflin and Mrs Grey,, was won by Mrs T. Smith, Te Teko 1, Mrs Wickham, Awakeri 2, Mrs Fagar, Murupara 3. Lunelieon and afternoon tea was served by the members of the Awakeri branch W.D.F.U.
